❝ People still feel lonely. That’s the point, you can’t always be there for anyone, Flora. You, of all people should know that.❞ There it was, the same smile that he’d always give her, no matter the circumstances, no matter whether the situation was good or bad. Jihon sincerely appreciated his friendship and Flora’s kind ways, which oftentimes helped him in times of unhappiness as well, but did she ever stop and pause to think of herself, too? Knowing her and her ways, it striked him as odd as to why she would consistently put others above herself, rather than taking care of herself.

As her best friend, he was worried. Jihon wasn’t necessarily a man of many words, and preferred to rely on his gestures in order to let others know what they meant to him but she had been in his life for so long already that it felt completely natural to open up to her and spill the details of his heart to her; hence the term best friends, Jihon didn’t know who else he could go to whenever he needed advice or wanted to make someone smile. Despite having gotten in a relationship, he still managed to find time for Flora and that, in its entirety, was the most important thing that their friendship relied on.

Mutual trust and the belief in one another.

❝You know it’s the season to get sick, right?❞ It reminded him of his mother who had called him the other day after they had went months without even so much as sending each other a text. Flora knew that Jihon was no longer in good terms with his family, hence him rarely ever talking about it but today, it seemed like it was necessary to get that burden from his chest before it would eat him alive. ❝My mother called; she said she’s sick and would like to see me. Could you, by any chance, come with me? I …  really don’t wanna go there alone.❞

        ⊰ ✿ ⊱  — For in any instance, there was no lack of understanding in the mix of words spluttered out of her best friend lips. Never a myriad of questions, never a need for answers yet laid upon neither was no lack of care for the small amount of words said, that simple understanding of loss & corruption for though impossible it was or any to make every person in such a world happy. And though such a thing was one she knew too well, who could blame her for still longing to see happiness brew from everyone?  ❛ i know that,  and i know i have to face that, even if i don’t want to. I just wish i, we didn’t have to face that.  ❜

          Compared to many others that might think differently, thin all the time of their friendship, there was never a need to over push the limits, to fill up any open space in the resentment of a source of awkwardness in the silence as for their closeness & friendship moved past that. As for regardless of if there was a small conversation compared to a large one with loud voices of others, the same meaning came across with half as many words. In such instances, she was grateful for the lack of  imperious words flooding onto her small frame, as for though she spoke many words of reassurance at many times, there was no doubt a clash of words would see no benefit to her.

             The small hum that falls from her lips presents no difference to the one she had let out prior to this. Nodding of her head & her shifting figure meeting his gaze at such a question left nothing but easy understanding to the things she’d known before. Maybe it was petty of her to remember hat such a season was the cause for countless ‘ flora have you had your flu injection yet? ‘ & ‘ flora, make sure to keep yourself wrapped up and warm ready for the cold weather… ‘ in which of course she knew all those people only cared for their well being, but yet such a silly thing upset her seeing those same people didn’t take good enough care of themselves.  ❛  she called?  ——  ❜ Teeth taking that of her bottom lip between her teeth, a motion out of worry, light hues softening at his figure.  ❛ You don’t have to ask okay? even if you didn’t, i wouldn’t have let you go there alone. ❜
